up the road.
When you enter the front doors of Emeritus at Landing of Brockport, you can see what we are all about, “Our Family ismitted to Yours!” The welcoming staff greets you as you see residents socializing by the fire and another group creating care kits for our troops. Inside residents’ apartments, everyone’s personality shows. Some have decided to cover the walls with family photos while others showcase their own art. The various senior apartment sizes offer new residents a choice about their new home. The private bathrooms and kitchenettes are extras that make their apartment perfect when they are looking to have alone-time.
Our community has 98 senior apartments. You will know the faces of your neighbors but have the opportunity to meet new friends. Our dining room is a place to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends before a meal or during one of our monthly family parties. These are not to be missed! The activity room is a place where a group of friends can get together for a game of cards or join one of our “painting classes with Diana” or the general store. Our senior living community has an elevator for easy access to our second floor apartments and community areas like our library, television lounge and wellness center. Outside enjoy our well-manicured grounds with a walking path and a porch complete with comfy chairs and a pond. Our memory care neighborhood is a group of 30 studio apartments with a living room, country kitchen, community dining room and a beautiful and secure outdoor garden.
We nurture strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers such as Lakeside Memorial Hospital, Unity Hospital, Medina Memorial, Beikirch Care Center, and Leroy Village Green. All of our local physicians are inserviced regularly to ensure that they are up to date on our services to provide the best care for their patients. Through the communications and relationships that we share with key staff ,we provide optimum care for our residents.
Emeritus at Landing of Brockport is proud of the longevity of our staff. The management team and staff are comprised of professionals that have served many years in our community. Emeritus at Landing of Brockport has been very selective in choosing who will make up our team to serve its residents; only those with heart and compassion for seniors are accepted to be part of our family.
A Wonderful Place to Live
At Emeritus at Landing of Brockport, we value our resident’s opinions and feedback. Our life enrichment program is built around the specific interests of the men and women that live with us. The choices of social, physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and creative activities can be seen on our monthly calendar.
At Emeritus at Landing of Brockport there need never be a dull day. The calendar is packed with activities that enrich the body and soul. A typical morning might begin with an exercise class to keep limber and get ready for the day. Cooking Club begins at 10 and then we might make Trail Mix. At 11 we may head to the main lounge to learn all about the black bears that seem to be popping up all over. A quick break for lunch and then we could be back at activities. The Men’s Pie of the Month Club might meet at 1:30 and then we could have a speaker coming in to show off his collection of antiques. At 3:00 it might be time for happy hour with a camping theme as we pull out the tents and make s’mores. Please view our calendar to see what’s in store this month!
Active Community Relationships
Emeritus at Landing of Brockport is not only located in Brockport, but we are involved in Brockport community activities. We hold public events at our community frequently and invite all to attend. Some of our most popular events are our Concert on the Lawn and our Dog Show. We look to be a resource to the community around us and regularly hold educational seminars on a variety of subjects featuring our local and regional experts.
Emeritus at Landing at Brockport partners with local agencies and groups to help them with fundraisers, education and promote a commitment to Brockport and the surrounding areas. This year we have donated to the Brockport Schools, PAWS Animal Shelter in Albion; and help support Lakeside Memorial Hospital, the Holley Rotary and the Alzheimer’s Association. Our residents know how important helping others is, and we make it possible for them to continue their charity to help our community.
