Tennessee Assisted Living Facility Licensing

Once you have narrowed down your list of assisted living facilities, you can contact the Tennessee Department of Health to get a copy of the recent inspection reports for those facilities. Assisted living facilities in Tennessee are inspected every 12 to 15 months. The Tennessee Department of Health maintains inspection reports by region. To file a complaint or get a copy of existing complaints for a specific facility you can call the Department of Health Licensing Agency at 877-287- 0010. You may also call long-term care ombudsman at 877-236-0013. Even if you have a family member or a local advocate to help you with your assisted living problems, the Tennessee ombudsman's office is available to help seniors with any problems associated with a Tennessee assisted living facility.
