Welcome to our Tennessee list of assisted living facilities. This site was created to gather as much information about assisted living facilities as possible. Our listings include maps, contact information, reviews of existing residents, and details about amenities and cost. By gathering all this information into one database, we hope to make it easy to compare assisted-living options. We understand that location is usually one of the most important factors when selecting an assisted living facility.
Tennessee Assisted Living Facility Licensing
Once you have narrowed down your list of assisted living facilities, you can contact the Tennessee Department of Health to get a copy of the recent inspection reports for those facilities. Assisted living facilities in Tennessee are inspected every 12 to 15 months. The Tennessee Department of Health maintains inspection reports by region. For the middle region, call Nina Monroe at 615-750-7100. For the new Western region, call Shirley Jones at 731-423-6454. For the Eastern region call Faye Vance at 865-588-5656.
Tennessee Assisted Living Facility Complaints
To file a complaint or get a copy of existing complaints for a specific facility you can call the Department of Health Licensing Agency at 877-287- 0010. You may also call long-term care ombudsman at 877-236-0013. Even if you have a family member or a local advocate to help you with your assisted living problems, the Tennessee ombudsman's office is available to help seniors with any problems associated with a Tennessee assisted living facility.

We also understand that since Medicare does not cover the cost, finding a facility that fits within your budget is also a critical factor. In addition the quality of life at the facility is also very important. Details about design of the facility, amenities and social events have a big impact on the standard of life at the assisted living facility. Since there are almost 40,000 assisted living facilities across the country, it is difficult to get detailed information about everyone. We invite facilities to create a free listing that includes as much detail as possible. Since out site is free for buth vendors and users, we remain independent and are only trying to help make that decision easier. We hope that using our site in conjunction with Department of Health will make choosing an assisted living facility a very simple task. Moving into an assisted living facility is stressful enough without having to worry about the quality of life at the facility. We hope that our directory of independent, and assisted living, and nursing homes can make planning for your own or a loved one's continuing care a simpler task.
