• Have it least three reviews and maintain an average reviews of better than 4.5 out (on a scale of 5). All ratings must be made by the resident or by the family of current residents of the facility. Ratings for Alzheimer's care must be created by families of the resident.
• Have a complete listing on this site that includes pictures inside and outside the facility, a complete list of amenities, information about costs at the facility, and complete contact information.
• Comply with our terms of usage for this site.

For the few elite facilities that comply with these standards, you will see a special top-rated graphic next to the name of the facility, the facility will be listed in the top group of facilities for their location, they will also be included in a list of the best facilities and the facility can post a copy of the graphic on their web site so that potential residents can click on the graphic and see the review and other information.

The criteria is mainly determined by families and residents at the facility in conjunction with the routine inspections required for a licensed facility.
