This site was originally created after a bad experience trying to find an Atlanta assisted living facility for my father ( He lived in Sandy Springs). After a stroke, he went into rehabilitation for a week. At the end of that period, we did not know for sure whether he would need an assisted living facility or a nursing home. We were lucky and the damage was limited to walking, vision and disorientation. In 2 days, my sister and I had to setup a whole new life for our father. The whole process was so difficult because the information about facilities is spread over so many websites. Our first concern was location so we needed to see every facility in the area on a map. You can now get that information using our advance search. We wanted to have pictures. This site has more pictures of faculties than any other directory. We wanted recommendations.
Here you can find reviews of independent and assisted living faculties, in addition to nursing homes and Alzheimer's care facilities. We apologize that we do not have more reviews but that will come as we grow. If you need support, we recommend contacting yourlocal Ombudsmen. We also have article to help you thought some of the difficult decisions.
