Details About Zaban Tower

Located on the same campus as The William Breman Jewish Home, The Zaban Tower apartment living option offers low ie seniors independent living or assisted living services while enjoying a healthy social life with peers.  

The Zaban Tower consists of one-bedroom and studio apartments on two floors. One floor is dedicated to independent living and the other floor to assisted living. The supportive services package on the assisted living floor is designed to provide extra support for residents as needed.

We welcome your inquiries and are ready to assist you to determine your options. In order to reside at The Zaban Tower, residents must meet certain income requirements which are set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Whether you live on the assisted living floor or the independent living floor, you will find:

Assisted Living at The Zaban Tower

Whether you need a little assistance or help bathing, grooming and dressing, The Zaban Tower staff will be there for you. We appreciate your desire to live as independently and self-reliantly as possible – we provide just the amount of support you need. 

Residents on the assisted living floor purchase a Supportive Services Package, which is in addition to the HUD rent. Fees vary based on the type of apartment and number of occupants. 

The Supportive Services Package includes:

  • 3 kosher meals a day, 7 days a week
  • Care coordinated by a licensed nurse
  • Quarterly care meetings
  • Weekly housekeeping and daily trash removal
  • Weekly personal laundry (includes linens)
  • Up to one hour daily of assistance with Activities of Daily Living (i.e., bathing, grooming, dressing and medication monitoring)

As residents’ needs change, supplemental support services are available for purchase. An assessment by a licensed nurse will determine necessary supplemental support services. Periodic reviews of the resident will take place throughout his/her stay at The Zaban Tower.  This program allows residents to remain at The Zaban Tower as their needs change.

Eligibility for Occupancy 

In order to reside at The Zaban Tower, residents must meet certain requirements. These include:

  • Residents must be age 62 or over (if two persons only one need be 62).
  • Must meet income qualifications set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and assets are not considered income

One Person: $23,950 Two Persons: $27,350

  • Must be able to keep apartment in a decent, safe and sanitary condition
  • Proof of citizenship or naturalization and satisfactory background checks

Residency is open to all qualified, eligible persons without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, disability status, religion, familial status or gender.
