Forbes magazine called Savannah among “America’s Prettiest Towns.” And it’s easy to see why. The First Bryan Baptist Church was built in 1794 by Andrew Bryan, a freed slave. The Gothic Temple Mickve Israel, located in Monterey Square, is one of the oldest synagogues in the country.
