Brookdale San Jose Reviews
Institutional Food
My father-in-law lived at the Atrium for about year years before passing away
suddenly at age 85. He was a very active guy who could safely drive his own car
and so he got out quite a bit. During the time he lived at the Atrium he lost
quite a bit of weight. It could have been due to his age or medical condition
but we were unaware that he had any health issues. He always complained about
the food have such small portions and tasteless. He described it as bland and
"institutional". There were "parties", but not at all very festive.
This is the only experience I have had with senior care . We did what we thought
was best when we told him that we were moving him there. At the time, it seemed
like a good choice with more reasonable costs than others but I am always second
guessing. Before you select any facility, check out all your options
