Brookdale Countryside

My mother moved in Brookdale Countryside over summer 2015. It started off great, but as time went on, my feelings (and my mother's) went down the tubes. My mother is there because of her MS and needs assistance every time she has to get up, use the restroom, get into bed, etc. When she pulls the "call button", she is sometimes waiting 45 minutes - 1 hour. The food is awful, workers attitudes are poor, starting to feel untrustworthy as well (her makeup went missing). When we contact "upper management", they act like they care, but no changes ever come. I think this is extremely unacceptable, especially when we are paying over $4,000 a month for my mother to live here. She hasn't been here 6 months and they just notified us that they are raising prices that will bring her total monthly cost to over $5,000 per month. For that much money, I expect MINIMUM wait times, exceptional food, better cleaning habits, and workers to be bright eyed and bushy tailed. It's a shame my mother even has to live in an ALF, let alone one that has completely taken advantage of her and other residents. I feel bad for the people in there that have no family, or nobody to stick up for them. I wouldn't recommend Brookdale Countryside (or any Brookdale chains) to anyone. Please think twice before signing a lease here.
