Like most ALFs, Willow Manor puts on a good a good show when you tour. Owner Signore and Director Powell sure are convincing when it comes to making you think, “This is the place for Dad!” If your loved one qualifies for VA, don’t let on right away…trust me…they will have a place for you anyway and that only signals to them they have a green light to up the rent once the VA is flowing…and they will. Once settled in, you will not have one phone call or one email returned. Even if you go in person, you will be put off if they have even the slightest expectation of hearing a complaint. Perhaps Peter is too busy running his other businesses, three of which ( Andie'S, Inc. , United Property Ventures, LLC , Signore Capital Management, LLC ) are shamelessly registered to the same Willow Manor address. Skilled laborers were rude with us when we visited so I believe my loved one when they told me they treated them poorly. Unskilled laborers (which comprise the majority) are ignorant beyond comprehension and many are extremely difficult to comprehend for even those without age impairments. Skilled laborers DO NOT appropriately monitor residents’ health. If they receive the slightest push-back from a resident, the lack of even the most basic bathing and grooming will go ignored and unchecked. Basically, Willow Manor provides a bed and meals for those suffering from minor dementia to Alzheimers and require a locked door to prevent them from wondering. After their 2004 tragedy, the locked front door seems to be working so far and that is pretty much what you are paying for here. Kindness, TLC and due respect are not included.
