The food here is awful. How would YOU like a crappy,dry,old piece of bacon ,a leaf of tasteless lettuce,a thin slice of tomato on stale ante bread that falls apart while you try to eat it? No toast, no mayo. Yum yum. Meals (if you want to call it that) are usually tough old meat and a bit of canned vegetables . "Desert" is always a rock hard brownie. If the seniors don't want to eat that crap-too bad!!They are not allowed to have food in their rooms. God forbid if someone is sick. If they get a bowl of soup brought to them, they're lucky. Most of the time staff "forgets" and the poor soul goes hungry. Most everyone my aunt knows says the have loses weight do to the poor service and inedible food. She said there are blind people that get no help at all. My Aunt doesn't see well,but she's not blind and the other things she has told me about uncaring staff,etc.has me worried for her health AND safety. She wants to move, but she can't afford to. I'm going to help her find a new place closer to me so I can keep an eye on her. At age 87 a person should be able to enjoy herself and not be worried and upset by her surroundings. I plan on contacting the State office that investigates these retirement "apartments"(rooms" maybe if State is investigating my dear Aunt won't have to move. My final suggestion to Anyone who is considering living here: DON'T!!!!! IT IS A BIG RIPOFF!!!! (Respect your Elders)
