Home healthcare offers assistance to help people live in their homes as long as possible. This could mean assistance with everyday health and wellness issues. It might mean help during recovery from sickness or injury. In some cases, it's just making sure someone is stopping by to visit and check up on someone so he or she can remain living at home as safely and asfortably as possible.
Good Samaritan Society – Home Care and Hospice in Brainerd and Nisswa is Medicare and Medicaid-certified. We also accept many insurances and private payment. We are experts at knowing what is covered and we will be happy to help you. The first visit is free.
Suite provides homelike hospice
Terminally ill patients and their loved ones have a unique set of needs, especially in the final days or weeks of life. Through the support of generous donors, Good Samaritan Society – Home Care and Hospice features a private hospice suite at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany.
The suite provides hospice care in a private environment, staffed with trained professionals who are skilled in management of pain and symptom management. The suite includes support services and a comfortable space for family members.
“Our hope for the private hospice suite is to attend to the quality of life for terminally ill patients in their final days and weeks by providing a calming, homelike setting in a managed care environment,” says Donnie Anderson, director of hospice. “The services are intended to meet the medical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of the patient and his or her loved ones."
