Resident & family reviews
EagleCrest has 3 areas; independent living, assisted living and memory care. My mother is in the independent living building. My sister and I both live in Golden Valley so we hoped to find a place closer to us. My mother was 88 at the time and based on her income, we looked at places in the $2,000 - $3,000/month range. We visited 8 or 9 places before discovering EagleCrest. We moved my mother from Fargo/Moorhead. A couple places we looked at in Minneapolis and one in Edina were nice but too Urban or too high-rise feeling. Some places we visited were down right sad. Eaglecrest has a very welcoming area when you enter. It had the best dining room of any place we visited. A fireplace and a full wall of windows/doors looking out onto a wooded area, outdoor seating. Plenty of activities and the location is absolutely superb! 1 easy mile to Rosedale and other shopping areas and many, many restaurants from basic to nicer. The only complaint about Eaglecrest is the dinners. I'd say very average to below average at times. My mother isn't a fussy eater but likes good food and, now at age 96, she eats there more for convenience than by choice. I had dinner with her there last Thanksgiving and they didn't even have a real roasted turkey. I don't know what it was and barely tasted like turkey. For Easter the only dessert was pumpkin pie - for Easter?
