Resident & family reviews
We had to move my grandmother from this facility because: 1. she did not receive her medications as prescribed and we suspect it contributed to her falling several times; 2 the food was inconsistent (corn dogs, tater tots and cake do not make for a healthy meal) and the staff seemed to be eating more than the residents were served; 3. her room was filthy and when we moved her, there was a live cockroach between her mattress and box spring; 4. there was a house dog which many of the residents adored who became sick and rather than take her to the vet, they purchased a spot cleaner and allowed her to continue urinating and defecating on the rug until they gave her away (a trip to the vet would most likely have been cheaper and much more humane); and 5. many of the staff members were not honest or forthcoming regarding her care.
There are some very good staff members at the Good Life who care for the residents, however we did not feel my grandmother was safe.
