Needs new management

Needs an administrator who cares more about the residents

Poor management. Low morale among the staff. No respect given to professional employees such as the nurses. Poor screening of aides. Low quality food. No water automatically served with meals. Poor communication with family members. Lost their great case manager in August 2015. Changed from a loving caring facility to a money making cost cutting facility. Needs to care about the people who live there more than they care about making money. Everyone wears the same uniform so you don't know if you are talking to the janitor or the head nurse. Very poor staff management and terrible treatment of the employees. Arbitrary admission policy. Rejects people for personal reasons. Prejudice. My father (a Lutheran minister) was there for nine months and had to be hospitalized. They refused to allow my father to come back after he completed rehab. Broke his heart. He had made friends there and he was very happy there. Would not meet with us to explain why they were rejecting him. Did not answer phone calls or written communication. I was told that he was not allowed back because Mr. Chiari was his lawyer. We did find a much better facility so perhaps it was a blessing. Dad said it was Gods will. He forgave them for their poor treatment of him. I never will. I saw my Father cry when we had to tell him he couldn't go back to his "home". I wish the administrator and her crew KARMA. I highly recommend Orchard Heights in Orchard Park. They are the best Assisted Living facility because they have a GREAT administrator and she has a wonderful staff of qualified caring people.
