My mother stayed at this facility twice for respite care and has now moved in permanently. She was hesitant to stay the first time but when I picked her up, she talked non-stop about how nice it was. The same is true of her now. Every conversation is full of stories about all the activities, the pleasant staff and wonderful food. I have visited several times and can see the staff is very caring and looks out for the residents. The social calendar is full of things to keep residents busy or entertained. The facility is not so big that it is impersonal. There are three large "public" areas with plenty of seating and two of the areas have TV's. The dining area is spacious and sunlit. One of the gathering area also has a small kitchen for special events or if family wants to bring a meal to cook and share with their loved one. CMC Monroe is about 1 mile away as well as an urgent care center. There are also many restaurants and shopping close by for families who want to take their loved one out for lunch or shopping. I feel very comfortable having Mom live at Brookdale Union Park and know she is well taken care of and above all - Happy!
