Great Facility

My dad enjoyed his time here. Staff is very attentive.

Older facility but with decent, caring staff, the best physical therapy unit in the area

This was our second experience after Mom?s heart attack/car accident, after she suffered a stroke in her first SNU. Artman cares for a range of patients from assisted living to long term nursing care. The building is older and somewhat dated looking, but the staff is what really matters. They were always wonderful. I visited 4 or 5 times a week for 6 months. The physical therapy department was the best of any of the facilities my Mom has been in (7 facilities so far). They worked her hard and got her motivated and moving using a walker after the stroke left her very weak on one side. Mom never lived in the assisted living side, but we would take long walks there (they are connected through secure doors) and it looked nice. We ate many meals in the assisted living dining room and it was nice?like a good restaurant with waiters and a choice of good food. For families with someone in skilled nursing, the walk to ?the other side? was quite pleasant--lots of sitting areas, a greenhouse etc. They have an amazing workout room. A big plus for Artman was that we could have Mom brought over there to work with a personal trainer for extra strength training (it was about $25 per visit but worth every penny). I would recommend it to other families when loved ones need a high level of physical therapy care.
