Personal Care Home
1401 East Susquehanna Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125

Penn Home, a non-profit, personal care retirement residence located in the historic Fishtown/Kensington section of Philadelphia. Founded in 1848, the Home is one of the oldest freestanding personal care facilities in the country. With numerous families living here for generations, many of our residents are lifelong community members.
Penn Home is committed to offering older adults who have limited finances a safe, comfortable place to live and quality care, all at an affordable rate. Without state or federal aid, we provide 40 senior adults personal care living at a greatly reduced fee.
Our mission is to maintain a quality environment that serves the physical, mental and spiritual needs of each resident. We believe in respecting and honoring the independent dignity of every person who enters our door.
With 45 beds, Penn Home is smaller than most nearby options, senior care communities in Philadelphia average about 159 beds. Smaller communities often mean more consistent day-to-day staffing and a calmer environment, while larger ones may have more specialized services on site. Which suits a particular person depends on the level of care needed.
The community is located in Philadelphia County, PA.
Penn Home offers assisted living and senior living.
