0 Star Rating Be Careful About Going There
This has become a mixed-up mess of a collection of people with a variety of needs that are met poorly or not at all! This is supposed to be a Type A facility where little assistance is needed. Hah! Then let them explain to you why blind people, people with dementia, people with serious mental disorders, etc. are allowed to live there. The staff is not required to be trained to work with these kind of people so, consequently, they are overworked and not able to give the proper care needed. Residents are given few activities and none are for the blind or other special needs people. Residents are bored, gossipy, and nosy as a result of having little to do. There is Handitran, but you had better personally mail in your own application because you will be lucky if the office staff does it. If you need something done, don't hold your breath waiting for them and don't believe their promises. You'll get hungry because the food is so starchy, fatty, repetitive and poorly tasting - and they often run out of essentials like coffee, bread, butter, sugar, etc. They very poorly address special diet needs - if at all! Just don't believe the hype and the sales pitch! Things will look fine when you visit, but if you spend enough time there, YOU WILL SEE! The residents there will tend to not tell you the truth because they are afraid of reprisals. Please think long and hard before even thinking about moving there! There are MUCH BETTER PLACES you could go or put your loved one in.
