Polo Park is beautiful from the outside, but poorly kept on the inside, especially in the apartments. Housekeeping/Environmental Control is lacking, with moldy caulk in bathrooms, water leaks, banged-up walls in hallways, dirty carpet, and an attitude of "we don't help you, this is independent living". The commercials on TV are wonderful and we'd like to live in a place like that, but the management at Polo Park does not have that caring attitude and they have spread that same "you're on your own" message to most of the remaining staff. This is not a place I would recommend. Their tour for guests is amazing, the reality is much different. And if you would like to take their "bus" somewhere they are going ... better make sure you can walk, it is not handicapped handicapped equipped, nor are most of their doors. This is Independent Senior Living for those lucky enough to have their physical ability still fully in tact. They failed to provide the security call alert button for over 10 months, claiming they didn't have any more to hand out. They fail to clean the apartment weekly as scheduled. They don't even check in on residents who have a medical illness or have had an emergency ... there is no caring heart in this have a medical illness or have had an emergency ... there is no caring heart in this management team.
