I Had to go to Burks, to heal, due to a broken hip and arm, Got there and room smelled like Death! All Nurses (CNA's RN'S, Not Even sure if there were LPN's there?) But worse help ever from any of the Nurse staff there at my stay! No one came to change my bandages from my surgery wound, besides my family! Which they shouldn't of, seeing it Should of Been one of these so called: "Licensed Nurses", Food was Horrible! Never was given any "Liquids" when it was so very humid and warm out and indoors (They should have Kept All the residents/patients WELL HYDRATED! SEEN too many Ambulances coming to pick up the Elders due to they were so dehydrated from "Not Enough Liquid Given Out" My 1st morning there, breakfast was cold eggs, cold burnt toast, cold coffee and I don't drink that gross drink, Rang the bell, waited 30 mins. before someone came in and told an aid, Nothing got done! So starved! Rest of my week there, Skipped the meals. and my family brought the best tasty food and drinks for me to eat to get better! To me? I felt like No one "Cared nor wanted to be there" as for these lazy so called (if they are ?) "Registered Nurse's/CNA's) Rehab. was a Huge Joke! Especially I couldn't get to go to the bathroom..a nurse had the acidity and tell me she "would" have me put in a DIAPER? are you kidding me? I refused, and she got really mad! It was like, I was bugging her to just to get up to go to the bathroom! Wow! My family and I was told by the hosp. on "Burke Health Care" was the Best ever! and that I would have a "Half hr." of REHAB-NEVER GOT IT! Only got "15 mins" and that was it-everyday! Pure HOGWASH!! I would have rather stayed at a jail if I could have than this place!!! Least you'd get more help in Jail than at this God forsaken so called "Nursing/Rehab Center..Burk! Please if you Love And Care for your Family and or Friends? Stay with them in that place for a lil while-Look what is going on around your family member ('s) and or friends everyday/night. When the door closes and you leave? The "Help" there closes down too :( sad but true! I witnessed it All!!! To this day...I still feel so badly, and my heart goes out to them all AND praying for the all for all those sweet people in that horrible place and NOT getting Fed RIGHT, Plenty to Drink, nor Cared for Like these so call "Registered" PAID Nurses are SUPPOSED too!!!! None of them WILL speak up, due to then they probably won't get any help, but pass away from needing help or anything they are in need of. Highly doubt these so called Nurses are even "State Licensed Registered"! Think Triple before sending Anyone to "Burk Health Care Center" Happy and Relived I'm Out of that horrible place! God Bless the one's still stuck in that miserable place! :( Just remember...I was there AND Witnessed it all! My words are the Solum Truth! DELETE THIS ALL U WANT...MORE PPL KNOWS ABOUT YOU ALL THERE! LIKE MY LAWYER
