Resident & family reviews
I highly caution any one considering putting a family member in the Golden Living Center, Beaver Dam, WI. If you enjoy having the nursing home director read you the riot act and hang up on you when you have concerns about your loved one - this might be the place for you. I was told they expected my husband to be up and walking within 100 days. The way it turned out he was taken out in a body bag shortly after the 100 days. We experienced CNA's involving themselves into personal family situations, medical appointments not booked, lack of care, lack of medical information, others medical information in our records, tremendous weight loss by patient, cold food, lack of supplies...where do I begin. I have filed a formal complaint with the State of Wisconsin. Please, please do not put a loved one into this facility. My deepest regret is that I left my husband at this facility - may God have Mercy Upon My Soul.
