Elmcroft at Byrd Springs

VERY understaffed on all but weekDAYS, nights and weekends there is ONE
person for the entire facility. Apparently the Kitchen cannot retain a chef and
serves Pizza, Subway, hotdogs and other fast foods on a regular basis (they
prefer to call it 'chefs choice'...I refer to it as 'no one here can COOK real food
and they don't have to rely on it to LIVE'). Inept cleaning of the facility and
patient rooms (staff reuses same cleaning cloths for EVERY room, routinely)but
of course for weekends and family days...its immaculate. If you swab any
surface (common area tables, chairs or handrails) germs/infectious contagions'
I am sure would be found on ANY day. NO security at any time anywhere in
the bldg. Resident SHOWERS are the tiniest I have ever seen, and are NOT
wheelchair accessible; there is barely enough space to sit and shower without
the water splashing out to the floor. A/C units are old, inefficient ; filters are
reused NOT replaced with NEW. Overall, this is a choice if all else in town has
too long a wait list.
