La Canada Care Center

I have cared for my father for many years and after a stroke and then a nurse
dropping my father at NW hospital and breaking his pelvis he was then admitted
on Christmas to La Canada. I had no idea how awful it was going to be for both
my father and myself. They fill the patients full of drugs so that they are in
a comatose state and problem free for the staff. My father was given all kinds
of dangerous drugs without consent. They try to drive off family members so
they can do as they please with the patient. My father was suppose to have
rehab services so he could walk again. The insurance was billed but they did
nothing for him. He was placed in a wheelchair with diapers on and drugged till
he was a Zombie. Instead of helping him to transfer they used a patient lift
for EVERYTHING! This made his body atrophy and after 3 months they sent him
home to me in this condition. I don't have a patient lift and I was assured by
the staff that he could transfer on his own. He cannot do anything on his own
including using a toilet. They load the patients full of laxative and then hang
them like sides of beef together and naked in a common washing room where they
hose them down after they have a runny bowl movement. They don't want to
transfer on and off the toilet because that makes more work for the staff. This
place is a FOR PROFIT business and that is the main objective. Get every dime
out of every patient. Quality of Care is not something that this Mega Company
with multiple US locations even cares about. Do NOT Trust La Canada Care with
the one you love!! Service is beyond Horrible!!!
