I only wish I could give negative ratings.

I'm a hospital nurse and my neighbor recently lost her father because of blatant
neglect/elder abuse by this evil staff. She can?t speak out due to a pending
lawsuit, but I personally cannot allow years of litigation to pass while other
patients suffer the same torture. So I?m doing this for ?them?.

Her father went to WG for physical therapy after breaking his hip. He only had a
handful of homes he could choose from, per his ins co.

She saw him after 1.5 days of being admitted and he barely moaned when she
called to him. He didn't move or open his eyes. She panicked, as she had seen
him in the hospital two days prior, and he was fine, though loopy from
painkillers. She told the staff this, yet they did NOTHING. The kept saying
they knew he had been ?unresponsive?. The lvn, I?ll call him "E" (for evil, of
course), and the office mgr gave a lot of non-answers to her many questions. She
said she left there feeling very disturbed ? but only after getting a video and
a photo of her dad on her cell phone.

The next morning, the RN (we'll call "J" Joke) called to say her dad's O2
dropped severely. They had to call 911. The ER dr said he had aspiration
pneumonia. The paramedics had to force a breathing tube through some oatmeal
lodged in his throat, to get it in. He had a temperature of 101.9.

OH, AND HE HAD A GLASGOW COMA SCALE OF ?4?. A rating of 3 is the worst. How
does a person go from a score of 15 (being the best) in the hospital, to a score
of 4 after less than 2 days at Windsor Gardens !!!???

My neighbor went back to WG to ask more questions. ?E? and ?J? were LITERALLY
ANSWERING HER QUESTIONS AT THE SAME TIME!!! She finally had to tell them to
stop it. They claim her dad had ?difficulty swallowing? that morning. They
tried giving him meds, and not long after, his O2 was dangerously low. But she
knew this was going on long before that morning, since she saw him the night before.

Her dad developed two clots. Before the 2nd surgery was even started, her dad
died of cardiac arrest. That was less than two days after leaving WG. He went
from falling to dying in exactly one week.

She asked me to review her dad's medical records with her, and compare it to her
documentation of what the staff told her, and what she saw. If I hadn't seen it
for myself I would think she was just a paranoid conspiracy theorist.

THE LACK OF DOCUMENTATION, CONFLICTING INFORMATION, INCONSISTENT DOCUMENTATION,
LIES, OBVIOUS FALSIFICATION OF INFORMATION, MISSING PAGES, YOU NAME IT. SOME
NON-COMPUTERIZED HANDWRITTEN PAGES MYSTERIOUSLY APPEARED WHEN HER ATTORNEY
REQUESTED THE RECORDS FOR HIMSELF.

I wish I could remember, and had the time and space, to tell you everything.
IT'S TRULY UNBELIEVABLE. Her dad was only 69.

How many others have suffered like this? If she hadn't seen her dad that night,
she might not have questioned anything, and they would?ve gotten away with it.

WHEREVER YOU SEND A LOVED ONE, YOU MUST MONITOR AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ? GET COPIES
OF MEDICAL RECORDS, DOCUMENT OR RECORD CONVERSATIONS TO HELP YOUR MEMORY, CHECK
IN WITH DRS, ETC., VISIT REGULARLY, AND STAY AWARE! TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS FOR
FUTURE REFERENCE.

Imagine how much money in Medicare alone is spent on patients to get better,
only to have it all undone, and go to waste because of uncaring, selfish, lazy
people who should be flipping burgers instead of holding people's lives in their
hands.

Makes you wonder why they call it "skilled" nursing care.
