Resident & family reviews
I was not a resident of this facility; I worked in a branch bank that was on site. Florida Lutheran is clean, exceptionally maintained, great food and dining plans, with a wonderful, friendly staff.
The facility is near the quaint town of DeLand, with a bus provided by Florida Lutheran to take residents to shop or to partake in their well planned recreational outings. The Activities Director is a marvel and the residents are NEVER bored. There is a great library, wood working shop, a chapel, lovely outside sitting areas, and maintenance personnel to help with a variety of housekeeping needs.
There is free transportation to in town doctors' offices, as well as a resident nurse.
The prices are very reasonable, even scale-adjusted to ability to pay.
I am not old enough to live there (yet), but it will be my first choice when I reach the appropriate age.
