Wingate At South Hadley Rehab & Skilled Nursing

Wingate of South Hadley, Ma is a substandard facility. Personal
experience: Withholding pain meds, refusal to change bed. No
washing of any type in 5 days. Inedible food that both patient and
friends could not stomach the smell of. Hot food coming cold, cold
food coming warm. No one answers the call button: one time after 45
minutes called the front desk for assistance and STILL no one came!
No one changed your clothes or bedclothes. Staff would laugh at you,
and had no consideration for pain. I would not allow anyone I know to
go to this place! they even lied to you about what meds they were
giving you, and what messages you got. told me that my doctor did
not want to talk to me when the message was that he was going to call
me later when he had plenty of time. They even went so far as to try
to get my husband arrested by the local police when he complained to
staff about substandard care. He had to change me himself. I had to
demand of police to get me out of facility because I feared for my life.
