Park Place Health Care Center

My mother was admitted to this facility. Despite our family frequently checking
on her, and asking SPECIFICALLY if she was receiving medications, they did not
give her a medicine she had been on for 30+ years. The withdrawal effects of
this caused seizures which killed her (in addition to making her last month
there a terrible time.) When the seizures started, they did nothing to treat or
comfort my mother, and in fact fought us when we found out (by CHANCE) and took
her to the hospital. When the EMT's arrived they couldn't even provide
information about when they had started / her condition during the day because
the nurses didn't document it! They later went back and modified her records to
pass their audits with Medicare. They also ignored our complaints about their
nursing staff and their rude behavior, and failure to do basic things like
change my mothers diaper. (she wasn't incontinent - they put her in diapers
because when she would ask for help to get out of bed they would say they were
too busy, and tell her to go in her diaper.) The nursing staff retaliated and
days after our complaint against them my mother died. Other people in this
facility have also died from their inaction / terrible care. DO NOT SEND YOUR
LOVED ONES HERE.
