A family member was sent here post-hospitalization with a goal of
returning to her assisted living facility. Although she seemed to be
getting adequate care and the facility was clean, we had many
concerns. Phone calls went unanswered regarding her care and
treatment no matter how many times we called. When we decided to
move her, her condition was not reported accurately to other facilities
we considered (we believe to thwart her transfer). Family wishes were
not respected. We would find her dressed in pajamas during the
middle of the day and sitting for hours at a time in front of a TV. The
only positive was the overworked floor staff, who were was positive and
responsive when we visited. We never once spoke to a doctor
assigned to her care.
When we decided to transfer her, the facility determined she was "no
longer eligible for Medicare benefits" and asked us to sign as such -
which Medicare told us we did not need to sign.
