Stay far away. You will regret it for the rest of your life if
you put a loved one in this facility. The administration is awful.
The Social Service dept is a nightmare. They do not answer questions.
Each person you ask a question of, passes you onto to another one. If
you need to advocate on behalf of your loved one they will do
everything possible to make it difficult for you. They over medicate
the patients so that caring for them is easier.

They put them all in a room that is chaotic, crowded, smells beyond
words, and they treat the patients like crap. The halls are crowded
with patients in chairs, unoccupied wheelchairs, food carts, and
nurses stations. The elevators are ridiculously slow and one of the
two is broken quite a bit. The staff ignores you if you need help. I
had to carry my mother out myself, and get her into a wheel chair for
a trip to my home. NO ONE OFFERED TO HELP ME. They were all busy. They
always tell you they are busy.

If you loved one needs care, love and attention DO NOT SEND THEM HERE.
The food is awful, the bathrooms are filthy, the staff is
indifferent. If you are looking for dementia care, they have no clue
how to handle it. I had very high hopes when I placed my Mom here so
please know this is not a frivolous gripe. I specifically asked the
staff to check my Mom for a UTI over and over and over again and was
ignored. I finally had to summon an ambulance to the facility to get
her to a hospital. My Mom died as a result of their utter disregard
for her condition. She was physically/medically in very good shape
when she was placed here. Within 3 months she deteriorated to a shell
of the woman she was. And that was with me going there every single
day to try to help.

I had finally found a place to transfer her to [which took me 3 months
as I started looking almost immediately after I saw what went on
there] when she was admitted to hospital. I was so close to getting
her better care; It just took so long with all the red tape they we
are put thru for trying to care for our parents.
