Loving friend

I have been visiting Cedarbrook for many years now. When you walk into
the facility they are a bit dated but there seems to be so much life in the
center. I see people talking, playing cards and smiling. I have talked to
many other family members over the years and have not heard any negative
comments like the one I read above here. The care is very good and the staff
really put their hearts into the residents. They have had a number of surveys
with outstanding results and have a high ranking and reputation for care.
Come and see the building for yourself. If you visit please ask the other
residents what they think of the place. For all the times I have visited they
have always told me they love it here.

My Grandfather

We had to put my grandfather into a nursing home and we choose Cedarbrook. He
walked into the facility on his own and within a month had been confined to a
wheel chair. He was able to feed himself when we brought him in and within the
first two weeks of him being at Cedarbrook he was being spoon fed. This past
April we were told that he was not eating. We found out that they had been
starving him. They were no longer feeding him because it was easy not too. In
May we were called and told that something was wrong with his leg. An x-ray
revealed that they had broken his leg. Then Scratches began appearing all over
his body. My family tried to sue but since the nursing home was owned by the
county it was exempt from all lawsuits. We were Lucky after the scratches had
appeared we petitioned to have him moved out of Cedarbrook and into Phoebe
Nursing Home. Phoebe took wonderful care of my Grandfather until he passed this
September. If you love your family member or friend please DO NOT Send him or
her to Cedarbrook.
