Hearthside, A Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, The

My father was due to be released from Mount Nittany after a hip
replacement. He needed to go to a rehab facility. The day that my
dad had surgery I contacted Hearthside by e-mail, it was late on a
Friday night. I did not hear from them by Monday morning the day he
was to be released so I telephone them first thing in the morning.
The person that answered the phone told me that the admissions
person was in a meeting, I waited for about two hours and no phone
call. I called back and she told me that the person was returning
phone calls. One week later and I have never received a phone call or
an e-mail back from them which leaves me to wonder if they can't
return a simple message what kind of care can they provide. Or do
they treat their patients the same way ignore them.

My father has been in the Hearthside for 2 years now. He is in the dementia
unit. Everyone has been very nice to my father and our family. I would
recommend this facility.
