Settlers Ridge Care Center

Within one hour of arriving at Settlers Ridge, the staff called the
Geriatric Psych Ward to have my mother committed. She had
Alzheimer's and apparently this is how they handle residents. We were
able to settle my mom down, but after one night, Settler's Ridge sent
my mother to the geriatric psych ward where the psych ward proceeded
to drug her and she was dead in 10 days. My mom was a very active
senior with Alzheimer's. It is obvious these people at Settlers Ridge
know nothing about Alzheimer's care. They got the court order without
notifying me or my brother who was our mom's POA. It was only after
her death in 10 days that we learned that the psychiatrist that they
use had not even met my mom. He was on call and without even
laying eyes on my mom, got the court order to have her committed.
Do yourself a favor and if you love your parent as much as we loved
our mother, RUN do not walk away from this place and don't look back.
