Villa St Francis

My mom was at this facility for over 3 years. She was fine when she first got there, because she was able to take care of herself for the most part. When things started getting really bad she complained of emotional abuse. The nurses neglected her and laughed at her at times. When I would visit on several occasions I would have to help some of the residents who were begging for some help. One lady who is blind was sitting waiting for her bath almost in tears. She started telling me she dreads getting the baths and they are making her wait so long with her anxiety. When I approached a caregiver they told me that someone will be with her in a moment. In the meantime, this poor resident was by herself unable to get up while the nurse was out having a cigarette break. Another time I was there a lady was in the middle of the room crying out loud asking for someone to help her. I once again approached a caregiver and finally someone attended to her. I believe if I would not of been there she would of continued to be left unattended. We since moved my mother out and she is much happier. This is a good facility if your loved one is not in the advanced stages, but once your loved one needs more help they are terrible. Would not recommend this facility to anyone. After they milked my mother out of all her savings and the state kicked in we received a 30 day notice to vacate. They said she needed more care than they could give, but I believe it was that they were not getting as much money from us. They had residents that were in more advanced stages, but I guess they were still paying out of their savings. Please look beyond this place they seems nice at first but buyer beware. I am actually considering filing a suit against this place.
