Caring Hands Personal Care Home

I have my Husband living in Caring hands little over 3 years . I am
very happy with care and staff also with Owner Asmira. I remember you
guy's coming and visiting. I think what all this start when your
grand/father punch care giver in her chest.We were all so scared of
grand father the way he was so aggressive,what about if happend the
one day he hurt some one else /another patient? So please don't say
best thinks about ya"ll side and worse about Caring hands,if they are
that bad why would i be here for almost 4 years ? This is a best place
to have your families ,who may need care.Not to long your grand father
died in very short period of time /think people die because of not
having good care ,meds good meals drinks .Before i put my husband
in caring hands I TOUR Besta care owner Japanese.I wouldn't put my
dog in there and that's why it was less money. I am sorry for your
father .

My grandfather was cared for very well by Caring Hands Personal Care
Home, LLC for the first year that he lived with them. They took a lot
of stress off of my Dad, who was an only child. Strange little things
started happening after he was with them for over a year though. The
owner asked my Dad to pay my grandfather's bill two weeks before
the due date to help her out. This happened twice in a short amount
of time. The caregiver (and owner of Caring Hands) started moving
my grandfather's furniture around in his room almost every other
week. I didn't think that this was a very good idea, since my
grandfather had dementia. Grandpa shared a room with another
person. After this person died, the caregiver then moved my
grandfather to another bed on the other side of the room and
sometimes had him sleep in another room that had an empty bed.
This was quite confusing to my grandfather. I have always been very
close to my grandfather and also thought that it was odd that the
owner moved his telephone across the room, where he couldn't get to
it. He was not mobile on his own and I liked to call him during the
week and sometimes he liked to call me (my Dad had set our phone
numbers in the phone). When my Dad questioned the owner about
these things, she made it quite clear that she didn't like being
questioned. Not long after that, she told my Dad that she wanted my
grandfather moved out in a few days. This was very hard on my Dad,
since he had no time to research where my grandfather could go in
such a short amount of time and had a hard time lining up help to get
him moved since some family members were out-of-town at the time.
The worst part about making Grandpa move out so quickly is that it
brought about a lot of confusion and sadness. My grandfather
couldn't understand where he was going or why he couldn't
go "home." I will never forget the day that we moved him into his new
place. He became very agitated and his dementia seemed even
worse because of the confusing situation that he was thrown into by
the owner of Caring Hands, LLC. The owner also told my Dad by mail
that she would give him a reimbursement of at least half of Grandpa's
bill, since it was due at the beginning of the month and she made him
leave by the 10th. After promising this, she then sent another letter a
month later stating that she had changed her mind. This also
happened to be one of the months that my Dad was asked to pay two
weeks early, which he did. My grandfather is now at Bestcare Assisted
Living in Lawrenceville, GA. He has a private room for less money, my
Dad pays less for supplies for Grandpa since they are now included in
his monthly bill, and the owner is a registered nurse which makes us
all feel at peace. Everything happens for a reason, but I wouldn't want
anyone's loved one to have to go through what my grandfather
had to go through. Since this occurred, our family has since found out
that another family had a similar situation with Caring Hands, LLC and
yet another family was also asked to pay their bill early quite often.
The state of Georgia has sited this business for having a violation in
the past three years and Hospice Care has also filed a complaint
against them. Do your research, but most of all check-in on your
loved ones often!
