I found Gro Shady Oaks to be clean, neat, their facility was homey and orderly. I spoke with residents, some at length, one gentleman was smiling & seemed happy although he was at a disadvantage as he was unable to speak well. Others were happy there and satisfied with the food, although as you know it's hard to satisfy everyone, especially were food is concerned. I spoke with the Nurses & assistants, they didn't have bad things to say about the facility or care. Some said they found Ms. Chibuye hard to understand @ times because of her accent but she was friendly & capable. jb

horrible facility

This is the worst facility I have ever been in. The residents were complaining to me about being hungry and not being fed properly. One gentleman stated he had lost 26 pounds just since he had been at the facility he stated the food is not fit to eat and what they do get is a child size portion the facility is a little run down. residents were very unhappy with living arrangements they told me if I was smart I wouldn't put my loved one at this facility. One married couple there is having to live in one small room which should not be allowed if I put my mother there I wouldn't want her having to share a bathroom with a man in the next room this couple should have been able to rented one of the apartments but they said they were being punished because the man owed back pay from where his monthly check was not enough to cover his room before they were married.
