While this may not be the fanciest of facilities, the care my father receives is
exceptional. He is private pay, but all residents, 90% + who are on Medicaid,
receive equally exceptional care.

There are no amenities, but the homey atmosphere and the immaculate facility
make up for that. Each room is nicely decorated. I have had dad in facilities
that looked like a Ritz Carlton, but the care was substandard, to say the least.
At Jonas Ridge Adult Care, the personal care is top-notch and the
administrators and owners are very involved in ensuring the quality of care. But
it is the wonderful CNAs who do the the day-to-day personal care who make dad's
life so comfortable.

Best of all, they are loving. Because of their exceptional care, partnered with
my own involvement in every aspect of his medical care, dad will be celebrating
his FIFTH Christmas at Jonas Ridge! And in 2005, his physician said he had less
than a year to live. Just goes to show the difference the the right facility
can make in the longevity of your loved one.

Another important factor is the care with which medications are administered.
There are no foul-ups and resulting disasters, as I experienced elsewhere.
