Resident & family reviews
They act all nice then they treat your loved ones with no respect no dignity they think they have a chef I wouldn't let him cook for my dog & that is just what your loved ones gets is bad food that is dry burnt & when those poor people ask for something different it's a crime when Kinch Waldruf was there he would look you in the face & say I will look in to it but yet nothing changed. The new coordinator is a joke he don't even try to find out why someone would move there loved one or for that matter cares they allow the residents to fight & hit one another they put people in rooms that aren't handicapped accessible they are nothing but a payment they tell you that your loved one gets so much out of their check then say well they had to pay for this & that & then they have nothing to get personal things & if there is no family to get their personal items oh well & if the person that does take them out don't like you well guess what they get nothing! OH & YES THE THEFT THERE IS AWFUL & They Do NOTHING. I'm so glad I have moved my loved one & I truly feel WRAL should really look at this home because home it is not.

My mother has been a resident for 8mths and I have requested a Care Plan meeting twice now and was told there is no need. The RCC is rude, incompetent and lacks follow through. I have asked nicely that my mother have a bra on each day-they just do not comply. My brother was in this morning 7-21-12 and found mom with a tooth missing-again and I was Not notified nor he. She had on a man's shirt with few buttons and no bra. Her hair a mess-when I have requested that she go to the beauty shop for a wash/style this week, There is no communication from the Leadership Team. I am very concerned about her care and will be seeking out the ED this week. This community is Substandard for my beloved mother! Frustrated daughter, Carol

On the surface, The Covington seemed very promising. However, after a few months, it became evident that the administrator is focused too much on the bottom line and not enough about the residents' level of care and well-being. It is very frustrating when problems are raised and the administrator either looks the other way or tells an exaggerated truth to make the situation go away. Very disappointing.
