Resident & family reviews
My brother lived at one of Hazel Grady facilities for more than a year. During the earlier months there was constant turnover with staff members. Her staff dwindled from 3 members to one member. The person managing the facility was not equipped to handle the position. Medicine was not administered according to directions. Request were often overlooked or forgotten. Clothes were not properly washed and cleaned. The last straw for me, after speaking with the owner Hazel Grady and the house manager Barbara, requesting my brother remain indoors due to a recent hospital discharge for pneumonia, they allowed him and almost force him to go out in the rain to attend Adult Day Care. In addition, they sent him without his required medication. The owner assured me she would pick him up from Day Care and return him home for continued bedrest. For unknown reason to me, she did not keep her word, and my ill brother remain at the Day Center all day, Later in the night, I was called to rush my brother to the emergency room because he was barely breathing. He was readmitted to the hospital. Upon release, he did not return to the home. Of course, she kept the entire month rent, he only spent several days at the home in April. She made no efforts to visit him during neither of his hospitalizations. My brother was on heart monitors and in danger of brain damage due to the neglience of this facility. I am familiar with some of the other clients and I see their health declining. I would not recommend any of her facilities.
