Graceland Personal Care Homes

The living quarters, both public and sleeping rooms are above average including
laundry and linen service.(no complaints) Meals are very small portions--
breakfast might include a small tablespoon of cold grits on a plate with a bare
slice of toasted bread-- no butter ever, sometimes a smidgen of jelly and a 4
ounce cup of coffee.

Lunch was provided by a senior rec-center during Mon-Fri and then supper
prepared at Graceland was very small portions again.. but no coffee but a half a
glass of "sun-tea".

Breakfast was served at 7:30 AM promptly, but you have to stay in your sleeping
room until then. ( No exceptions)

You have to be in your room at 9:00PM until 7:30 AM. No exceptions unless
bathroom call. (Saturday and Sunday... until 8:30 AM)

Only privileges were smoking breaks (in back patio area) when allowed. This is
the only privileges allowed and is used to maintain discipline for the clients.

Observed night female (Yvonne) attendant playing Gin-Rummy with client for cash
frequently and demanding to be paid her winnings by him. ( In this case $10)

MY biggest complaint was the cavalier way that I was administered my Blood
pressure meds.. on 10-09-2010 (because of over medication) my blood pressure was
69 over 31. When I tried to inform the staff (not complain) I was told not to
worry about it. (I have my own blood pressure cuff from VA Hosp.) To be safe...
the client-patient needs to monitor their own dosages, I believe here,
