Resident & family reviews
They stick your family members or members in a facility. They say it's to assist them in
their medical needs before the senior is to be in the living Facility. They never helped my
parents. Just drugged them. Plus, they have young people addicted to drugs trying to rummage
through my parents dresser drawers while my parents were there. Not a safe place.I was
the one who made sure my parents had proper observations. I had to buy my parents clothes
and diapers because La Tona had every excuse not to bring my parent's their things. I had to
make Tiffany get the items and bring them to my parents when, she constantly put the blame
off on La Tona. My money to my car (that was totaled) and the inheritance that I received
from my parents selling the house was taken from me.Heritage square and many other
retirement homes have to strip your family member of all they have in their name then put
them in the center. My parents left the rehabilitation place because they were restless and
couldn't get into Hertitage square. I know they allowed my cousin to take them through
their oldest daughter and I have not heard from them or the other dysfunctional family
members since mid. May. Everybody blames me. I gave up the mo. house money but, I had
to get the insurance money to pay for a down payment on a car, so my husband could get to
work. The other part the rehab place wanted me to prove that I used that money to buy my
parent's clothes and diapers. Which I used some But, i am no criminal and do not need to
prove them that I bought the clothes for them. It was a stupid thing for them not to notice
their own negligence. I highly recommend to anybody who for whatever reason would want to
put someone in a retirement home should get your inheritance in your name 5 years before
they go to retirement. Look at all your elder laws before you get screwed too. The best thing
to do is have the person live with you and Medicaid will send someone to your house
everyday. You might can keep your family. dysfunctional or not. Last I heard the oldest
daughter is to pay La Tana 200 and I pay the 18,000 which I clearly gave up..I assume my
parents might be there. Who knows. I could not call Adult Protection Services that everyone
was telling me to do.Because if my dysfunctional family took my parents (with their will)
What else could they do?

Heritage Square is now a wonderful facility that provides assisted living
housing for Deaf and Deaf/Blind individuals. It has a staff that is
fluent in ASL and is a wonderful environment for the Deaf Community
in the Dallas Fort Worth area. As a resident I am clearly satisfied with
the facility and the care. The apartments are superior to our previous
living environment and the activities planned for us are wonderful. The
entire staff is dedicated to the residents.
