Lincoln Square

I am here to tell you first hand that this place is horrific!! I worked
there as a dietary aide and the actual CNAs did not care one ounce
about the residents. They would scream and curse at them even over
small things like a request for a sweater because they were cold. You
could find them lounging around the dining halls between all meals
instead of doing room checks, activities, showers ETC. The place was
NOT clean by any means! Many times I'd have to retrieve residents
from different parts of the buildings after meals had started when it is
the CNAS job to do. One incident I will never forget is a lady suffering
from Skizophrenia was having somewhat of an outburst in the dining
hall (apparently she reads the newspaper and thinks those things are
happening to her directly). They had no way of medicating her or
doing anything, Worse than that they were laughing at her and
mocking her. Screaming for her to "shut the F up". They said "Starr"
the ONLY PERSON QUALIFIED TO GIVE MEDICINE wouldn't be there for
another three days. I quit this job after losing a live-in grandparent
during my shift there, but that situation will never leave my mind. How
can you run a residental facility and only have ONE person qualified to
give medication, and NOT have them working for days at a time
because "they didn't feel like working". It was appalling!! The one
cook had also been terminated during my employment there for her
drug use, which she did not hide. There was also a small girl Courtney
that I had seen smacking the residents on serveral occasions. PLEASE,
IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY, DO NOT PUT THEM HERE. Locust Grove in
West Mifflin is ALSO a co-company, with the same people running
things, so be weary!!
