North Roanoke Assisted Living, L.L.C.

Here are a few things that have happened to my sister while living
here the last four years. Ran out of meds(Due to nurses not being
responsible enough to order or just plain overworked) or could not find
meds that were almost full rxs, including inhalers used for COPD
(causing extreme shortness of breath); anti-depression and controlled
anti-psychotic drugs (causing anxiety attacks and sleeplessness.
Allowed a sore spot on her leg become so infected and inflamed she
had to be hospitalized (I had to drive her to the hospital myself
because they did not have anyone to do it and they did not think it
was infected), put on IV antibiotics and sore had to be lanced. I could
have stuck my pinky finger in the hole up to the second joint. She
came home after about 3 days in the hospital and had to have a
home health nurse come every day to unpack, clean out and repack
the wound. My sister is on medicaid and I cannot find another place
that has a medicaid opening. I could go on and on but I'll make my
closing statement...find another place for your loved one!

I am very pleased with North Roanoke Assisted Living, From the time
I took a tour till current time. 1st Lisa she is so helpful and
knowledgeable the office staff was very helpful in helping me with the
necessary paperwork needed for a easy transition for home to an
Assisted Living Facility if you have any questions call her or
Rhonda.The Nursing staff is exceptional Med-Techs and LPN's on staff.
CNA's to help my mother with her bath and change her bed,
Housekeeping to clean her room, Dietary Department kudos to you
she loves old fashion food, so I ask you what more could you ask...
my mother calls it home and we are so pleased God Bless our new
family members

Please do not put your loved family member in this facility. They
have had past state violations in the past 3 years. They are letting
contagious and infectious patients to roam around the facility and
spread the disease, no quarantine. The food is horrible, just ask
someone who has been there or knows someone. The staff has a
horrible attitude and employees are constantly quitting due to the poor
work environment. If you are looking for a place to put your loved one,
some advice... please do not put them in here. You will regret it, they
need to be investigated some more, because it is truly very sad!
