Spring Hills Mount Vernon

My brother moved here after living in a facility in the Winchester area.
He is much happier here, as there is more activity going on, and more
people to talk to. He also likes the fact that he can order from a menu
(and the food is pretty good!), order multiple items, and have soda
with his meals. They also serve meals in 2 hour (or similar)
increments so he can show up when he wants rather than have to come
at noon and 5 as was required at his previous assisted living facility.
While he doesn't need much care, the level of care, from what I've
seen, seems pretty good. The place itself is lively, and the people
seem to be truly caring. The residents are a mix of ages and stages.
Some have physical or mental disabilities, and some none. While my
brother still thinks he can live on his own independently and therefore
isn't 100% thrilled with Spring Hills, I feel it is a pretty good place for
him, and certainly much, much better than the place where he
previously lived.
