About Heather Haus

Heather Haus believes each resident should be given choices, control and flexibility in developing a
plan to meet their individual needs. Each resident is evaluated using a comprehensive assessment
guide covering all aspects of their health. The personal care required to meet individual resident's
needs is assigned points. Points are directly equated to the additional staff time spent with the
resident. The assessment point system was designed to benefit residents. By adding cares as needs
change, residents can stay in the same place as long as possible. Each point over five will be at
$1.00 per day. The Housing Manager will review the assessment tool and the point system with you so
that you will become familiar with the system. We respect the choice of our residents to live at
Heather Haus and wish to create a way for them to age with dignity, security, independence, and safety.
