Ashley Park

My mother and my aunt who were born and raised in Charleston, SC
are in their 90's now and have lived at Ashley Park for a combined
total of over five (5+) years which is the approximate age of this
facility.

Years ago my aunt mentioned to me that she was interested in
moving to a safe, secure retirement home to enjoy her senior years
without the demands of home ownership. A few day later I was quite
pleased when I came upon Ashley Park while helping a friend file for
his social security located on the same boulevard. When I saw the
grand entrance to the facility I just had to go in. I was met by a caring
professionally management team (Husband and Wife) who answered
all my questions and invited me to dining with them and tour the
facility. I set an appointment and returned to look at the floor plans,
view some available apartments, inquire as to price and tour the
entire facility while inquiring about all services available to tentants. I
left with a Ashley Park pamplet/brochure in my hands for her review
and consideration. I was certain Ashley Park was the answer to my
aunt's request. She requested I made an appointment for the next
day. She like me was sold on Ashley Park as her new home as soon
as she entered the facililty and meet the management teams.

Almost four years passed as me and my mother enjoyed our visits
meals and outings with my aunt at Ashley Park. Then my mother of
89+ years was ready for that transistion to senior retirement living and
their was as no where else she would have even considered. In
October 2011 the rental agreement was signed and we moved my
mother to Ashley Park only four (4) apartments from her sister's
apartment and on the same floor.

Poeple are what make or break a business. Ashley Park dual
management teams are caring and loving of their residences. Every
meal the two managment teams of husbands and wifes visit with their
residence by serving beverages and engaging in conversation with
every residence. Every resident is know by their names and always
addressed with respect. The dining room serving staff are polite and
personal with the residents and many know the names of the
residences since turnover is seldom. I cannot say enough about the
wonderful Chefs and the nourishing tasty foods that are served every
meal!The Chefs even mingles with the residents during desert serving.

The activities and services that Ashley Park offers is second to none.
All of our Amercian holidays are celebrated and acknowledged. with
music, dance, decorations, activiites, etc. Veterans photos are honored
on the wall of fame as is my father's photo and his contribution to
keeping America free during WWII. The recreational director
constantly is booking entertainment, scheduling outings and internal
events. A library and store is availalbe for residences along with a
chapel for all faiths. A beautiful garden, fountain and grilling area is
available for residenc and their guest at no cost.

My mother and aunt would not go anywhere else to have their hair and
nails done. Gerry's salon housed inside the facility knows her cliental
and satisy their needs for beauty.

Maintance and housekeeping is second to none!

All religious faiths are honored with services conducted by pastors and
ministers. priests, etc. for Ashley Park residences.

Physical Therapy and nursing assistance is housed and availble upon
request/demand from residence/Physicians. Home care providers are
availble upon request.

Transportation is provided on scheudled days for doctors visits,
groceries and other personal needs by Ashley Park at no cost.
