Clarkston Shelter and Care is an adult family, nonsmoking, home. Our priority is to provide the elderly with a safe and a compassionate environment in a family oriented home. We offer our residents companionship and care 24/7. We are an apartment-style home that provides services for the elderly who have difficulties with activities of daily living. This includes prepared meals, snacks, housekeeping, medication assistance, laundry, wound care, incontinent care, assistance with showering and so much more. We provide Skilled, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Hospice Care. We are designed to provide a safe environment and have special safeguards for wandering seniors. Hospice care is an infusion of home care and facility care provided to benefit terminally ill or palliative comfort care for seniors. We also support their families through their tough times. Our goal is to keep our residents until the end of life. Our compassionate staff have all been background checked, cleared, and attend yearly continuing elderly care education classes. We aim to provide your loved one, or yourself, the best care possible. We have a Registered Nurse that lives onsite and available 24/7 and a Licensed Practical Nurse who is onsite daily and in frequent communications with residents doctors and other medical staff, to provide skilled professional nursing care without having to leave the comfort of home. All Clarkston Shelter and Care staff are certified in Mental Health and Dementia care. When thinking about how to pay for care, family home facilities are generally less expensive than nursing homes. We accept Medicaid and private pay. Clarkston Shelter and Care is located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful views. It is common for wildlife to be observed grazing across the property. You or your loved one will enjoy tending to the garden or in the many other activities such as painting, ring toss, cards and other games, puzzles, trivia, walks around the block and much more.
