Community Adult Day Care

My mother has been attending CADC for the past nine months. Initially, she
attended two days a week as we were unsure as to how receptive she would be to
attending. She was warmly welcomed and started asking when she was going "to
work" again. We added a third day and eventually she started attending five days
(M-F). Each person who works or volunteers at CADC is loving, patient, and
enthusiastic. Each client is treated as an individual with respect, dignity, and
love. There is a nurse on staff everyday to administer meds and tend to any
health issues that may arise. The programs are wonderful and varied. My
mother has benefitted greatly from the social interaction and routine. And, my
father, has also benefitted from the caregiving respite he gets each day. In
addition, the CADC staff is very supportive of the caregivers and family members
who bring their loved ones to daycare. They are a wonderful resource if I have
questions or concerns about changes I see in Mom. And, on those days when I
am just feeling sad and overwhelmed to see my Mom living with Alzheimer's they
are always available with warm hugs and tender hearts. This is a wonderful
resource in our community and I would recommend their services without
reservation.
