My father was here for one year, during that time he moved to the memory care
unit. The aides are lazy and lack supervision, the institution as a whole is
ill-equipped for non-ambulatory patients and dementia patients. My father is in
a chair and also has dementia, he had multiple falls; some of those went
unreported to me and often no incident report was made. After the falls I
requested they instituted fall hazard methods with him and nothing happened. His
eyeglasses and false teeth disappeared while he was there and a dozen new
t-shirts. Keep in mind that you will be paying in excess of $4000 per MONTH.
This facility should be inspected regularly by family and gov. It looks pretty
but its the care of the residence that counts.
He is now at the VA Nursing Home and is healthier and getting the extra
attention that he needs for 1/3 the cost.
