Resident & family reviews
We moved our mother into this facility after placement in the valley
of 2 other facilities. We based our search on the location to our
home, cleanliness, activities, caregiver ratio, activities and management
being on site and family owned. We are basically through with
corporations running facilities from a corporate office not on site or in
state.
We were very pleased with the accommodation to get "mom" settled
and the value of the level of care she needs. We have seen more
activities at this facility that any other and the food is pleasing and
they are accommodating for various special requests and diets. We
have tried all the meals with mom and found them to lack salt but
otherwise food was great.
They provide transportation and cleaning services. The one problem
we have with the facility is the beauty shop. The proprietor refuses
the give us a receipt or itemized bill. If there is not cash or check the
day of the service waiting for her, she refuses to do her hair. The
attitude we received is she can go somewhere else. Mom is also
confined to a wheelchair and that posses a problem with the stylist as
she will not assist the resident. My suggestion is that she needs to be
replaced.
Pluses are : We see the same caregivers on each shift and regularly.
Mom has her favorites but likes all of them. She is in a studio but it
is very large and spacious. The maintenance dept even painted her
bathroom "Pink" her favorite color when she moved it.

As a healthcare professional working in the Las Vegas area for the past
14 years, I have to say that the lack of attention to detail and weekly
changes in staff and policy are less then impressive.
I have had a few clients living at The Bridge and have had to deal with
numerous issues that the facility seems unable to handle. This coupled
with the current acting administrators lack of knowledge in regards to
Nevada Statutes and inability to effectively communicate has made this a
facility that I am unable to recommend.
