This place is not very clean or cared for very well. My mother lived there for 3 years and was actually fearful of leaving and getting lost. Even when my sisters visited from out of town she was afraid to leave. Than 3 1/2 years into her stay she wandered 2x.. I was told this is no longer the place for her and picked her up to live with family who will care for her much better. When I picked her up she stated "they tell me to go outside and go for a walk if I want and than get mad when I do" Strange ...OH YES! Her room always smelled and she never had her carpet washed the 3 1/2 years she lived there, despite several requests. on Sundays we would visit only to find her in urine stained and socked sheets on every visit. I would shower her and stripe her bed every visit. The room always smelled like urine and no one cared. Forget Activities..Three activity directors later and still nothing!! I would never suggest a Brookdale any where!!! Oh they stated she didn't know where she lived most residents there do not and besides they changed the name 3x since she was there....Who does! STATE NEEDS TO CHECK THIS PLACE. Most of the time you cannot find staff and on weekends forget staff!

My Mom moved in March 2014 and staff went out of their way to get her socialized by assigning a buddy and getting her involved in daily activities. The meals I have had there with Mom were properly and courteously served. The aides are very patient with her and her medications are correct and on time. Mom was bored to tears and declining when she lived alone and moving her to Bassett Park has clearly added to her health and happiness. After a one month trial she said "This is the best move I ever made". Bassett also connected us to a free elder benefits counselor to help make the financial aid painless.
